If you were to die...

Mum said to me. She meant to say "if you were to buy... (chocholate)" but didn't manage to complete the sentence amid the laughter.

Which had me thinking.

When your life finally flashes before your eyes, will watching it put you to sleep,
or make you sit at the edge of your seat?

CCC

I've been running for a while.
Running very fast, running very far.
One thing after the next has had me running in races back to back.
I hit the road running in the beginning, and i ended the race running too.
Now that i've crossed the finish line, i take a look around,
And i have absolutely no idea where i am, or how i got here.

Ting Ting

My dear clerk asked me to shout ORD loh.

No, i said.

Am i happy now?

I looked happier on my IC than i did on my 11B.

I got into the lift alone and waited for the doors to close.

I knelt on the floor and faught back the tears.

It took me 40 days to recover from my 40 days in India.

I've just spent exactly 444 days in army.

Please please, don't come and congratulate me and say oh how great i must be feeling now.

Just shut up and let me go.

Excuse me...

It's 8 more days to ORD.
It's 8 more days to freedom.
I can see the door to the free world just ahead, and we're almost there.
This is the moment we've waited for for the past close to 2 years.

As i look through the door i had not looked through for so long
I saw many people
Those that had passed through before me to freedom
Those fortunate enough to never have left the free world.

But...
Why did all the people outside look so sad?

All around me celebrate the final approach to the door

But when we finally get out

When we finally get the freedom we so wanted

Will the freedom really make us happy?

Excuse me, sirs and mams... For all of you living in the free world... Can you smile a bit not? Har? You looking like conscripted recruits! What? The world outside worst than army ah? Sign on lah!
