Movies

I just watched Watchmen with my dad. I won't recommend it, but i enjoyed it.

Rorschach: I heard a joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says Life is harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world. Doctor says "Treatment is simple. The Great Clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor... I am Pagliaci." Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll On snare drum. Curtains.

Then i watched The Dark Knight.

Harvey Dent: You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

I watched the first episode of Hannah Montana and yes... i have to confess, really enjoyed it. There was something about the hidden identity of a teen idol trying to be a normal girl that was so interesting and appealing to watch. But as creative as the Americans may be, how can Hannah Montana ever compare to the upcoming Korean movie Detroit Metal City. I didn't realise what it was from the poster initially.

Now i get it- it's also dealing with the superstar secret identity theme. But this one's more super death metal rocker vs super geek theme. (If you really can't see it, the 2 guys in the picture are the same guy. You can tell by his dental arrangement.)

At least this movie doesn't make everyone ask the question they ask about Hannah Montana- how is it no one recognises her? Look out for it!

Ok finally i watched A Walk To Remember. Now that... Was emotional.

Just the idea of someone coming into your life, changing you so completely for the better, and then leaving... Leaving you wondering what just happened, and why you were so lucky to have been chosen to be so blessed. This person sees the world in a different way, and allows you to begin to see the world in ways you never thought possible. This person teaches you the important things in life, and makes you hold on to the things she believes in so long after she has left, the mere memory of her being a strength to you to carry on. It's not something normal. In fact it seems so impossible to happen outside of a book of a movie.

But it happened to me.

And i am still in awe.
